Director of Development
Cincinnati Cancer Center
Laureen McCorkle joined the Cincinnati Cancer Center as director of development in 2010. She brings more than 17 years experience in development of comprehensive institutional advancement programs, including major gift initiatives, campaign development, special events and annual fund development. She directs strategic fundraising initiatives for the Cincinnati Cancer Center and University of Cincinnati Cancer Institute, working in close collaboration with development officers at UC Health and Cincinnati Children’s.
Prior to joining the Cincinnati Cancer Center, Laureen served as the director of development for The LAM Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to research and advocacy for a rare pulmonary disorder called lymphangioleiomyomatosis. In this role she expanded development efforts to include corporate, foundation and planned gifts, and implemented a national liaison patient program to develop fundraising relationships across the United States.
She served as director for development of Cancer Family Care, a nonprofit organization that provides support programs and services for cancer patients and their families in Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky. She served as the director for individual giving at Cincinnati Museum Center and has also held development positions with the Cincinnati Arts Association and the Kentucky Center for the Arts.
McCorkle holds a degree in music from Centre College and was a member of the Cincinnati May Festival Chorus for five years. She has served on the boards of several community organizations including Impact 100, the Duke Energy Children’s Museum Advisory Board, the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the Kidney Foundation of Greater Cincinnati. She is currently on the board of the United Taekwondo Association and the major gifts committee for the Southwest Ohio Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
